MonitoringLocationDescriptionText SITUATED ON THE MAINSTEM OF THE MERRIMACK RIVER IN BOSCAWEN DIRECTLY IN BETWEEN THE NH VETERANS CEMETERY ON RIVER RIGHT AND THE GOLDSTAR SOD FARM FIELDS ON RIVER LEFT. THIS IS A FLAT WATER SITE WITH SAND AND GRAVEL DOMINATING THE RIVER BED. THERE IS A CLUSTER OF LARGE BOULDERS IMMEDIATELY UPSTREAM ON RIVER LEFT THAT ARE ALWAYS VISIBLE. LOOKING DOWNSTREAM, THE BOSCAWEN CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH STEEPLE IS VISIBLE ABOVE THE TREELINE. THERE IS A SUITABLE RIPARIAN BUFFER ALONG RIVER RIGHT WITH A MARGINAL RIPARIAN BUFFER ALONG RIVER LEFT. THERE IS A LARGE BEND TO THE EAST IMMEDIATELY DOWNSTREAM.
