THIS IS THE FURTHEST EAST PUBLIC STREET WITHIN THE CITY OF GONVICK THAT INTERSECTS WITH COUNTY STATE AID HIGHWAY 9 (NORTH STREET) FROM THE NORTH. PARK AT THE GONVICK DEBRIS DISPOSAL DUMP SITE NEAR THE WTP. THE CREEK THAT CARRIES STORMWATER DRAINAGE TO THE RIVER IS IN THE WOODS TO THE EAST OF THIS PARKING AREA. WALK ALONG THE BANK OF THE RIVER IN A DOWNSTREAM DIRECTION ABOUT 200 FEET FROM THE CONFLUENCE WITH THIS CREEK UNTIL YOU GET TO THE APEX OF A BEND IN THE RIVER. SAMPLES ARE TAKEN FROM THE THALWEG OF THE RIVER AT THIS POINT. STAGE IS MEASURED BY USING A SPIKE IN A LARGE TREE ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE BEND (PRIOR TO APEX) AS A REFERENCE POINT FOR MEASURE DOWN READINGS.).
