THE SITE IS AT LOST RIVER WHERE THE RIVER FLOWS INTO WHITE SANDS NATIONAL MONUMENT. LATITUDE AND LONGITUDE VALUES FOR THIS SITE WERE OBTAINED BY DIGITIZING AT LOST RIVER JUST INSIDE THE NORTHERN WHSA PARK BOUNDARY DATA FOR THIS SITE ARE FROM CONTROLS FOR ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION INC. 1985 LABORATORY DATA SHEETS. IT APPEARS THAT A PAGE OF DATA IS MISSING; IT PROBABLY GAVE RESULTS FOR XYLENE; TOLUENE; AND BENZENE ANALYSES. THE LABORATORY NO LONGER EXISTS.
