THE SITE WAS DESCRIBED BY THE NPS AS "WHISKEY CREEK" AND WAS LOCATED NEXT TO A LIGHTDUTY ROAD JUST NORTH OF THE WHISKEY CREEK COVE OF WHISKEYTOWN LAKE INSIDE THE WHISKEYTOWNSHASTA TRINITY NATIONAL RECREATION AREA (WHISKEYTOWN UNIT). THE DATA WERE COLLECTED FROM APPROXIMATELY 1972 UNTIL 1980 BY PARK PERSONNEL FOR FOURTEEN TOTAL LOCATIONS. THE DATA FOR EACH LOCATION WERE IN SEPARATELY BOUND FILES.
