| MonitoringLocationDescriptionText | Cherry Canyon seep is at the lower end of Cherry Canyon about 400 feet above the confluence with Walnut Canyon. Water samples were collected from a crevice in the rocks where water was slowly seeping out. The seep is in the shallow perched aquifer and it is an important source of water for plants and animals in Walnut Canyon National Monument. Water samples from this spring provide information about the water quality of the local, shallow groundwater system in Walnut Canyon. |
