| MonitoringLocationDescriptionText | The station is located on the Western St. John; V.I. U. S. Geological Survey (USGS) 7.5' topographic quadrangle. Data were collected at this location by Virgin Islands National Park and the USGS Biological Resources Division to monitor the impact of island development and recreation on marine waters around St. John both inside and outside the national park. The water quality program was initiated in 1988 and at its zenith was collecting monthly samples at 31 marine locations around St. John.
