MonitoringLocationDescriptionText THE STATION IS LOCATED ON THE VALLEY FORGE PENNSYLVANIA 7.5 MINUTE SERIES (TOPOGRAPHIC) QUADRANGLE. THE SITE IS LOCATED INSIDE THE VALLEY FORGE NATIONAL HISTORICAL PARK. SAMPLES WERE TAKEN FROM THE SCHUYLKILL RIVER 20 METERS UPSTREAM OF THE MOUTH OF VALLEY CREEK ON THE CHESTER COUNTY SIDE OF THE RIVER. DATA ARE FROM TWO REPORTS; "INVESTIGATOR'S ANNUAL REPORT; 1989" AND "INVESTIGATOR'S ANNUAL REPORT; 1988." DATA WERE COLLECTED BY RMC ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES AS PART OF A WATER QUALITY MONITORING PROGRAM ON THE SCHUYLKILL RIVER FOR THE PHILADELPHIA ELECTRIC COMPANY. THE MONITORING PROGRAM WAS REQUIRED AS PART OF A CONSUMPTIVE WATER USE PERMIT ISSUED BY THE DELAWARE RIVER BASIN COMMISSION.
