THE STATION WAS ON FRENCH CREEK IN PHOENIXVILLE AT THE ROUTE 29 BRIDGE; 100 FEET DOWNSTREAM OF THE PHOENIX STEEL COMPANY. THE SITE WAS LOCATED BETWEEN HOPEWELL FURNACE NATIONAL HISTORIC SITE (HOFU) AND VALLEY FORGE NATIONAL HISTORIC PARK (VAFO). DATA WERE PUBLISHED IN THE DOCTORAL DISSERTATION "A STUDY OF THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN CHEMICAL WATER QUALITY AND FISH AND BENTHIC MACROINVERTEBRATE DIVERSITY IN FRENCH CREEK; CHESTER COUNTY; PENNSYLVANIA" BY RALPH D.
