THE SAMPLING SITE IS OUTSIDE VALLEY FORGE NATIONAL HISTORICAL PARK AT CRUM CREEK JUST SOUTH OF WHITE HORSE ROAD IN WILLISTOWN TOWNSHIP. DATA ARE FROM A SERIES OF CRUM CREEK REPORTS PREPARED BY THE ADVANCED BIOLOGY STUDENTS OF CONESTOGA HIGH SCHOOL; TREDYFFRINEASTTOWN SCHOOL DISTRICT. STUDENTS USED TO BE UNDER THE DIRECTION OF DR. RALPH HEISTER BUT HAVE BEEN DIRECTED BY NORMAN MARRINER SINCE 1991. SAMPLING WAS DONE BY THE STUDENTS. BACTERIOLOGICAL SAMPLES WERE ANALYZED BY THE CHESTER COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT.
