THE STATION IS LOCATED OUTSIDE VALLEY FORGE NATIONAL HISTORIC PARK. THE STUDY SITE IS AT WESTTOWN WAY BETWEEN WEST CHESTER PIKE AND WESTTOWN ROAD. THE SITE IS SOUTH OF TWO RESERVOIRS AND IS NOT AFFECTED BY ANY SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT DISCHARGE. DATA ARE FROM "CHESTER CREEK 1997;" A REPORT PREPARED BY THE ADVANCED BIOLOGY STUDENTS OF CONESTOGA HIGH SCHOOL; TREDYFFRINEASTTOWN SCHOOL DISTRICT. STUDENTS WERE UNDER THE DIRECTION OF JACQUELINE D. GONTAREK AND NORMAN E. MARRINER. SAMPLING WAS DONE BY THE STUDENTS. COLIFORM SAMPLES WERE COLLECTED BY STUDENTS AND BROUGHT TO THE CHESTER COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT FOR ANALYSIS.
