| MonitoringLocationDescriptionText | Station is located in Tonto National Monument on the Windy Hill AZ 7.5' U.S. Geological Survey topographic quadrangle. Data were collected at this site by William B. Reed of the National Park Service (NPS) Water Resources Division in September 1980 and are on file with that office. This spring ceased to maintain a significant flow during a regional drought in the 1960s. By March of 1962 this spring was no longer used by the park's water system. In January of 1963 a well was drilled at this site to become part of the park's water system. This spring is not known to have flowed since the drilling of the well. In fact the spring wasn't found during a search by Reed in September 1980. The land surface around the well has been altered by filling and leveling either during road construction or when the well and pumphouse were built. A local depression near the well could have been the spring site.
