MonitoringLocationDescriptionText King Pond (USGS site number 03428123) is a shallow springfed pond located in the northern most section of the National Battlefield near the artillery monument. The pond drains into a small stream flowing north. The stream quickly loses water and normally disappears within a few hundred feet of the pond. The area east of the northern most section of National Battlefield is predominantly residential. The area to west and south includes commercial and industrial development along New Nashville Highway.
