SITE WAS ORIGINALLY ESTABLISHED AS PART OF THE PLATTE RIVER PHOSPHOROUS SAMPLING CONDUCTED BY SLEEPING BEAR DUNES NATIONAL LAKESHORE. INITIAL PHOSPHOROUS SAMPLING OCCURRED AT THIS SITE ON AUGUST 18 1995. THIS SAMPLE WAS PART OF A GROUP OF SAMPLES TAKEN ON THIS DATE WITH THE INTENT OF PROVIDING A ONETIME SNAPSHOT OF THE PHOSPHOROUS GRADIENT FROM THE PLATTE RIVER M22 CROSSING TO EL DORADO PARK ABOVE LAKE MICHIGAN. SITE IS LOCATED ON THE FRANKFORT MICHIGAN 7.5 MINUTE SERIES(TOPOGRAPHIC) QUADRANGLE. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF SLEEPING BEAR DUNES NATIONAL LAKESHORE P.O.
