MonitoringLocationDescriptionText SITE IS LOCATED APPROXIMATELY 300 METERS UPSTREAM FROM THE LAKE MICHIGAN ROAD CROSSING OF THE SHALDA CREEK. IN THIS AREA THE CHANNEL WIDTH IS APPROXIMATELY 7 METERS AND DEPTHS RANGE UP TO 0.75 METERS. RIPARIAN VEGETATION IS NOT EXTREMELY DENSE WITH ONLY 25% OF THE STREAM SHADED. PATCHES OF GRAVEL WERE PRESENT HOWEVER SAND WAS THE DOMINANT SUBSTRATE. THE SITE WAS USED FOR SAMPLING FROM 1990 THROUGH 1993. SITE IS LOCATED ON THE GLEN ARBOR MICHIGAN 7.5 MINUTE SERIES (TOPO) QUADRANGLE. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF SLEEPING BEAR DUNES NATIONAL LAKESHORE P.O.
