MonitoringLocationDescriptionText SITE IS LOCATED APPROXIMATELY 300 METERS UPSTREAM FROM COUNTY ROAD 675 ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE CULVERTS. THE CHANNEL WIDTH IS APPROXIMATELY 20 METERS AND DEPTHS RANGE UP TO 0.5 METERS. DEAD CEDAR TREES LITTER THE STREAM AND PROTRUDE OUT AT ANGLES THAT RANGE FROM 30 TO 90 DEGREES ON BOTH STREAM BANKS. AS A RESULT THE MAIN FLOW IN THE CHANNEL MAY BE REDUCED. LARGE BEDS OF IRIS SP. AND CHARA SP. WERE FOUND THROUGH THIS REACH. APPROXIMATELY 25% OF THE STREAM WAS SHADED BY THE RIPARIAN VEGETATION WHICH WAS DOMINATED BY CEDARS. SITE WAS USED 1990 1993. SITE IS LOCATED ON THE GLEN ARBOR MICHIGAN 7.5 MINUTE SERIES (TOPO) QUADRANGLE. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF SLEEPING BEAR DUNES NATIONAL LAKESHORE P.O.
