Largest tree that one comes across on the walk to the site. 2021 TU collectors did not find tag tree - noted area may have been altered by high flows. Site is located above private property and about 275 yards within Shenandoah National Park (SHEN) boundary. Tag tree is very large tulip poplar. Possible stream fording is necessary at the start of the trail.
