THE DATA COMES FROM A REPORT PREPARED IN 1973 BY JACK TROYERA US FOREST SERVICE HYDROLOGIST. THE REPORT IS LABELED: THE WATER RESOURCE MINERAL KING/AN ANALYSIS OF THE QUANTITY AND QUALITY OF THE WATER RESOURCE. NO SPECIFIC DATE FOR THIS SITE IS GIVEN IN THE REPORT EVEN THOUGH THE DATA WAS COLLECTED BETWEEN 10/27/71 AND 9/7/72. TO INCLUDE THE DATA FROM THIS UNIQUE SITE AN ARBITRARY DATE OF 3/1/72 WAS CHOSEN. THE REPORT REFERS TO THE SPRING TESTED AS "IRON SPRING." IT IS IRONRICH; DISCOLORED; AND TASTES BAD. THE HIGH DISSOLVED SOLIDS CONTENT OF THE SPRING IS DUE TO THE WATER'S UNDERGROUND CONTACT WITH ROCKS AND MINERALS. IT IS SOUTH OF ASPEN FLAT AND ACTUALLY IS NAMED "SODA SPRING."
