MonitoringLocationDescriptionText THE STATION IS LOCATED ON THE LYNN; MA 7.5 MINUTE SERIES (TOPOGRAPHIC) QUADRANGLE AND IS OUTSIDE THE SAUGUS IRON WORKS NATIONAL HISTORIC SITE. THE STATION LOCATION IS SAUGUS RIVER AT THE WEST END OF CHESTNUT AVENUE. SAMPLES WERE COLLECTED BY THE MASSACHUSETTS DIVISION OF WATER POLLUTION CONTROL (MDWPC). THE MDWPC DATA FROM 20 JULY 1982 WERE CONSIDERED DRY WEATHER SAMPLES; AND DATA FROM 15 SEPTEMBER 1982 WERE CONSIDERED WET WEATHER SAMPLES. DATA ARE FROM "BASELINE ASSESSMENT OF THE SAUGUS RIVER SYSTEM MASSACHUSETTS. FINAL REPORT; 1991. HUDSONIA LIMITED; BARD COLLEGE FIELD STATION; ANNANDALEONHUDSON NY." BY JAY SHIRO TASHIRO; ROBERT E.
