MonitoringLocationDescriptionText THE SITE IS LOCATED ON THE MICA MOUNTAIN HILL ARIZONA PIMA CO. 7.5 MINUTE SERIES (TOPOGRAPHIC) QUADRANGLE. THE SITE IS AT THE LARGEST STORAGE OF WATER ALONG DEER CREEK BETWEEN THE ELEVATIONS OF 5600 FEET TO 4900 FEET (WHERE THE DRAINAGE LEAVES THE PARK AT THE BOUNDARY FENCE) IN WHICH THE WATER DID NOT APPEAR TO BE STAGNANT AT THE TIME THE DATA WAS COLLECTED FOR THIS SITE. THE SPRING'S LOCAL SPRING NUMBER IS (D1418)16 DBD. THE SPRING IS APPROXIMATELY 100 FEET LOWER IN ELEVATION THAN TURTLE SPRING. THE SITE IS DOWNSTREAM OF THE CONFLUENCE OF THE EASTERN AND THE WESTERN FORKS OF DEER CREEK. DATA ARE FROM A USGS SPRING SCHEDULE FORM USED BY WILLIAM REED OF THE NATIONAL PARK SERVICE TO RECORD 1981 FIELD DATA.
