Water quality monitoring is conducted from the south side of the bridge over the Namekagon River on North Road. The nearest active USGS flow monitoring station is located about 9 miles downstream near Trego, Wisconsin at the outlet of the Trego Dam (USGS 05332500). The dam is owned by Excel Energy. According to USGS "The data we publish from this site is supplied to us by Excel Energy. We take a few verification measurements but otherwise the data is collected by Excel Energy. We publish the data annually - around March."
