THE CREEK WAS SAMPLED AS PART OF A STUDY TO ASSESS THE IMPACT OF RECREATIONISTS ON STREAM WATER QUALITY; THE PRESENCE OR ABSENCE OF GIARDIA; AND THE IMPACT ON BACKCOUNTRY USERS WHO INGEST WATER FROM STREAMS OR LAKES IN THE LOCH VALE AND GLACIER GORGE WATERSHEDS. DATA WERE PUBLISHED IN A NATURAL RESOURCES REPORT SERIES 853 REPORT TITLED "FIELD SURVEY OF GIARDIA IN STREAMS AND WILDLIFE OF THE GLACIER GORGE AND LOCH VALE BASINS; ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK" BY SAM KUNKLE AND NANCY COWDIN (1985).
