THE SITE IS LOCATED AT THE SOUTH FORK OF THE CACHE LA POUDRE RIVER JUST UPSTREAM FROM ITS CONFLUENCE WITH LITTLE BEAVER CREEK. THE SITE IS LOCATED OUTSIDE ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK BOUNDARIES. THE SAMPLING SITE WAS USED TO COLLECT DATA FOR THE 1967 REPORT "WATER QUALITY OF MOUNTAIN WATERSHEDS" BY SAMUEL KUNKLE. THE REPORT WAS PAPER NO. 21 IN A SERIES OF RESEARCH PROJECTS TITLED "HYDROLOGY PAPERS" AT COLORADO STATE UNIVERSITY; FORT COLLINS COLORADO.
