MonitoringLocationDescriptionText Tossup Creek is tributary to the Redwood Creek, tributary to the Pacific Ocean, located in Humboldt County, California. Tossup Creek's legal description at the confluence with Redwood Creek is T07N R03E S21. Tossup Creek is a first order stream and has approximately 2.6 miles of blue line stream according to the USGS LordEllis Summit 7.5 minute quadrangle. Tossup Creek drains a watershed of approximately 2.7 square miles. Elevations range from about 750 feet at the mouth of the creek to 3,000 feet in the headwater areas. Redwood/Douglas fir conifer forest dominates the watershed. The watershed is privately owned and is managed for timber production. The total length of the stream surveyed was 2,922 feet with an additional 139 feet of side channel.
