MonitoringLocationDescriptionText Several areas in the northmost 'cave' system of the Balconies Cave contain water dripping from the ceiling along the northwest side of the cave system. This cave system forms the fractured ceiling above the West Fork of Chalone Creek. The spring site is at the lowest elevation in the cave system and the flow is from several connected pools in a fracture, approximately 2.5 feet above the stream channel.
