MonitoringLocationDescriptionText Superintendent's Spring is located behind a National Park Service residence (formerly the Superintendent residence), located on the east side of Pinnacles National Monument, CA. This is on the south side of Bear Gulch Road, approximately 0.2 miles northeast from the entrance to the Bear Gulch Visitor's Center. Climb about 250 feet (horizontal distance) from the northeast corner of the house, up the steep northfacing hill slope, just east from the residence. Superintendent's Spring issues from an opening eroded in sandy colluvium and flows downslope in a 1 to 3foot wide channel. The USGS Site ID is 362856121103801and is named SUPERINTENDENT'S SPRING.
