THIS SITE IS AT THE PORT ARANSAS JETTIES. DATA WERE COLLECTED ALONG A TRANSECT SOUTH OF THE JETTIES AND AVERAGED FOR THE MONTH. DATA ARE FROM A REPORT BY JOHN T. CONOVER; "THE ECOLOGY; SEASONAL PERIODICITY; AND DISTRIBUTION OF BENTHIC PLANTS IN SOME TEXAS LAGOONS;" OCTOBER 1963. THE PURPOSE OF THIS REPORT WAS TO "STUDY THE LOCAL EFFECTS OF LIGHT; TEMPERATURE; AND SALINITY ON THE SEASONAL GROWTH OF PLANTS."
