THIS SITE IS AT THE STATE HIGHWAY BRIDGE OVER PACKERY CHANNEL IN THE PADRE ISLES HOUSING DEVELOPMENT ON THE NORTH END OF NORTH PADRE ISLAND. DATA ARE FROM A REPORT BY COASTAL ECOSYSTEMS MANAGEMENT; "CONTINUING ASSESSMENT OF THE EFFECT OF PADRE ISLES DEVELOPMENT ON ECOLOGY;" SEPTEMBER 1974. THE PURPOSE OF THIS REPORT WAS TO SURVEY THE GENERAL ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH OF PADRE ISLES IN ORDER TO ASSESS THE IMPACTS OF DEVELOPMENT.
