MonitoringLocationDescriptionText Motor downstream from access 0.3 mi to where Cabin Hollow enters via a high-water channel/slough on the right descending bank. Land jet boat at upstream end of slough or at downstream end of slough before the steep bank and walk upstream. Cross the high water river channel/slough and proceed up stream. Sample site located at a 10 inch DBH maple with a lot of exposed roots on the right descending bank which is composed primarily of silt/soil. The left descending bank is also silt/dirt. The substrate is gravel with some exposed clay. There are tall eroding cut banks located both up and downstream of the site. The channel is 1-2 m (3-6 ft.) wide.
