Site is 15 m (50 ft) downstream of short bluff on left descending bank and the most downstream of a series of spring orifices in sand "boils" along a 45 m (155 ft) stretch of the branch. The branch goes under Hwy KK via a culvert located 30 m (95 ft) downstream of sample site. There is a 30 inch DBH sycamore with a hollow base on the left descending bank at the site.
