WATER IS STORED BY A DIRT DAM AND IS CONVEYED BY PIPELINE FROM THE POND TO THE SOUTH FOR 150 FEET WHERE THE WATER FREEFALLS INTO A CONCRETE 4'x8' TROUGH. THE SITE IS USGS STATION 315730113012601; (C177)17CDC IS ITS LOCAL SPRING NUMBER. DATA FOR THIS SITE ARE FROM: 1) NPS WATER LEVEL RECORDS AND 2) A 19821983 PROJECT BY CPSU ECOLOGIST PETER BENNETT ANALYZING POTENTIAL DRAINAGE OF SPRINGS IN THE QUITOBAQUITO AREA BY WELLS IN MEXICO. WATER SAMPLES WERE COLLECTED EITHER FROM THE SPRING SOURCE OR FROM THE END OF THE PIPE.
