MonitoringLocationDescriptionText THE STATION IS LOCATED ON THE CROSSVILLE TNCUMBERLAND CO. 7.5 MINUTE SERIES (TOPOGRAPHIC) QUADRANGLE OUTSIDE OF THE OBED WILD AND SCENIC RIVER BOUNDARIES. THE SITE IS LOCATED AT THE OBED RIVER 100 YARDS DOWNSTREAM OF THE CROSSVILLE WASTE WATER TREATMENT PLANT NEAR RIVER MILE 38.4. DATA WERE COLLECTED AT THIS SITE IN 1979 BY DAVID MELGAARD AND DAVID MCKINNEY; BIOLOGISTS WITH THE TENNESSEE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH DIVISION OF WATER QUALITY CONTROL. THE DATA ARE PART OF A BIOLOGICAL INVENTORY USED TO ASSESS THE IMPACTS OF CROSSVILLE'S MUNICIPAL WASTE WATER TREATMENT PLANT ON THE OBED RIVER. DATA WERE SUMMARIZED IN A REPORT TITLED "BIOLOGICAL INVENTORY AND ASSESSMENT; OBED RIVER MILE 20.8 TO 38.6." ALL WATER QUALITY SAMPLES WERE ANALYZED BY THE STATE CENTRAL LABORATORY IN KNOXVILLE TENNESSEE. ADDITIONAL DATA FOR THIS STATION CAN BE FOUND UNDER AGENCY CODE: 21TNWQ AT THE STATION NAMED: OBEDIS03.
