The given coordinates are the approximate midpoint of a transect, with the upstream point at 42.20205556N, 104.5496667W, and the downstream point at 42.20227778N, 104.5483889W. Researchers described the stream as riffle/run/pool, good water clarity, depth was very shallow to 1.2 meters, low to swift velocity, root wad forming small but fairly deep pool with brown trout, and substrate was gravel and cobble.
