The given coordinates are the approximate midpoint of a transect, with the upstream point at 44.58536318N, 104.70379876W, and the downstream point at 44.58620847N, 104.70342913W. Researchers described the stream as predominately shallow run/pool structure with a few small riffles, fair water clarity, and substrate was silt and numerous large rocks, with gravel and cobble in riffle areas.
