There are other seeping sections of the backwall with moss and algae, but the colluvial slope and alcove floor are dry. || Channel: The channel is a run-off channel from a notch at the head of the canyon above the spring. The channel includes fairly thick riparian vegetation to just past the ruin. || Aquifer Type: Sandstone || Geologic Unit: Dakota SS || Geomorphic Surfaces: (1) BW of type 'Backwall' comprising 7m^2 of the sample site; (2) CH of type 'Channel' comprising 54m^2 of the sample site; (3) CS of type 'Colluvial Slope' comprising 120m^2 of the sample site; (4) Total site area: 181m^2 |
