| MonitoringLocationDescriptionText | Spring Orifice: The spring emerges from a colluvial slope below a large alcove. There are sparse Phragmites present on the colluvial slope within the alcove tapping the groundwater. After approximately 37 m Phragmites becomes thick and surface water appears. The surface water creates a channel that in places becomes slow moving. Surface water is intermittent. || Channel: The channel geomorphology is indistinct and is primarily shown by dense Eleocharis. There are flowing sections and underground sections. || Aquifer Type: Sandstone || Geologic Unit: Navajo SS || Geomorphic Surfaces: (1) CH of type 'Channel' comprising 126m^2 of the sample site; (2) CS of type 'Colluvial Slope' comprising 2646m^2 of the sample site; (3) Total site area: 2772m^2 |
