MonitoringLocationDescriptionText Station is located in the Tidal Basin in the Half Moon in front of Survey Lodge near the drainage from Independence Ave. Station can be found on the Washington West D.C.MD.VA. USGS 7.5' quadrangle. Station is one of ten maintained by National Mall and Memorial Parks (formerly National Capital Parks Central) (contact is Steve Lorenzetti; Chief of the Division of Resource Mgt.; 900 Ohio Drive SW; Washington D.C. 20242; tel. 2024859680) to monitor baseline water quality conditions. The program commenced in 1994 and was ongoing as of 1997. Water quality data were generated by either a Hydrolab Surveyor II or LaMotte Indicator Tests. The park maintains a standard operating procedures manual.
