THE SITE IS LOCATED ON A TRIBUTARY OF LITTLE BENNETT CREEK WEST OF INTERSTATE 270. THE STATION IS APPROXIMATELY 100M UPSTREAM FROM ROUTE 109 UNDER EXISTING OVERHEAD POWERLINES. DATA WERE COLLECTED AT THIS SITE BY THE MONTGOMERY COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION (MCDEP). LATITUDE AND LONGITUDE COORDINATES WERE OBTAINED BY THE MCDEP USING HANDHELD GPS UNITS.
