THE SITE IS LOCATED AT THE MANCOS RIVER DOWNSTREAM FROM THE CONFLUENCE OF ITS EAST AND WEST FORKS. THE SAMPLING SITE IS OUTSIDE OF THE MESA VERDE NATIONAL PARK BOUNDARY BUT IS WITHIN A 10 MILE RADIUS OF THE PARK. THE DATA WERE COLLECTED BY THE U.S. GEOLOGICAL SURVEY IN COOPERATION WITH THE U.S. FISH AND WILDLIFE SERVICE; BUREAU OF RECLAMATION; AND BUREAU OF INDIAN AFFAIRS; AND ARE PRESENTED IN THE USGS WATERRESOURCES INVESTIGATIONS REPORT NUMBER 974008.
