MonitoringLocationDescriptionText Long House Spring discharges from the Cliffhouse Sandstone and is located on the southwest side of Wetherill Mesa, in the back of Long House Ruin in Mesa Verde National Park. This spring was channelized by Native Americans and used as a water source. Water samples were pumped directly from the pooled water where the spring was channelized. Wildlife use this spring as a water source and water samples provide information about the waterquality. This spring is located at a important archeological site in Mesa Verde National Park.
