THE POGUE IS A FIFTEEN ACRE POND NEAR THE SUMMIT OF THE PARK SURROUNDED BY OAK AND BEECH WOODS. THE POND IS FORMED BY AN EARTHEN DAM. ALL SAMPLES WERE ANALYZED BY THE UNIVERSITY OF RHODE ISLAND GRADUATE SCHOOL OF OCEANOGRAPHY. THE NUTRIENT SAMPLES WERE ANALYZED BY AN AUTOANALYSER.
