| MonitoringLocationDescriptionText | THE SITE IS LOCATED ON THE ASTORIA OREG.WASH. 7.5 MINUTE SERIES (TOPOGRAPHIC) QUADRANGLE AND IS LOCATED WITHIN THAT PORTION OF FORT CLATSOP NATIONAL MEMORIAL WHICH LIES EAST OF LEWIS AND CLARK RIVER. LITTLE GREEN SLOUGH IS ADJACENT TO GREEN SLOUGH; BUT THE HYDROLOGIC CONNECTION BETWEEN THE TWO IS SLIGHT DUE TO A DIKE. THE AREA RECEIVES HEAVY APPLICATIONS OF HERBICIDES DUE TO FARMING NEARBY. THE DATA WERE COLLECTED BY PARK PERSONNEL FOR INCLUSION IN THE 1998 REPORT "BASELINE WATER QUALITY INVENTORYFORT CLATSOP NATIONAL MEMORIAL"; TECHNICAL REPORT NPS/CCSOOSU/NRTR98/12. BUT DUE TO LOGISTICAL PROBLEMS THE SITE WAS ABANDONED AROUND 1994; AND THE DATA WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE REPORT.
