DATA WERE COLLECTED AT THIS SITE BY THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF THE INTERIOR GEOLOGICAL SURVEY (USGS); WATER RESOURCES DIVISION. THE DATA COME FROM A USGS SUMMARY OF A BRIEF FIELD SURVEY OF LASSEN VOLCANIC NATIONAL PARK MADE IN AUGUST 1973 BY E.J. MCCLELLAND OF THE SACRAMENTO USGS OFFICE. THE PRECISE LOCATION OF THE STATION IS UNKNOWN; AN ESTIMATE OF THE STATION LOCATION WAS DETERMINED BASED ON THE TOWNSHIP AND RANGE DESCRIPTION AND THE BEST APPROXIMATION AT A WATER BODY IN THAT SECTION.
