MonitoringLocationDescriptionText THIS STATION IS LOCATED ON THE MINERAL 7.5 MINUTE SERIES (TOPOGRAPHIC) QUADRANGLE. THE SITE IS LOCATED ONE QUARTER MILE SOUTH OF THE MILL CREEK BRIDGE ON MILL CREEK OUTSIDE OF LASSEN VOLCANIC NATIONAL PARK (LAVO). DATA WERE COLLECTED BY J. MICHAEL THOMPSON IN A 1983 REPORT TITLED "CHEMICAL ANALYSES OF THERMAL AND NONTHERMAL SPRINGS IN LASSEN VOLCANIC NATIONAL PARK AND VICINITY" BY THE USGS. THE STATION COORDINATES PROVIDED IN THE REPORT WERE NOT USED FOR THIS STATION SINCE THEIR ACCURACY WAS QUESTIONABLE. THE STATION COORDINATES USED WERE A BEST ESTIMATE BY THE NATIONAL PARK SERVICE; WATER RESOURCES DIVISION.
