MonitoringLocationDescriptionText This station is located in Lassen Volcanic National Park on the West Prospect Peak CA 7.5 minute topographic quadrangle. Data were collected at Little Bear Lake by Paul Hubbell of Humboldt State Univ. as part of a report "A Survey of General Ecological Conditions in a Group of Lakes in Lassen National Park 1960." All measurements are assumed to have been taken in the field. The lake is situated in a small glacial pocket approximately onequarter mile southwest of Big Bear Lake. The lake's deepest point is in the northern half of the lake near the west shore and is only 10 feet. The water level fluctuates markedly with the seasons.
