MonitoringLocationDescriptionText This station is located in Lassen Volcanic National Park on the Prospect Peak 7.5 minute U.S. Geological Survey topographic quadrangle. Data were collected by Fred H. Everest as Part I of a project by Humboldt State University. The water quality data are part of a report called "A Survey of Horseshoe and Snag Lakes and Their Tributaries; Lassen Volcanic National Park; JuneSeptember 1963." Grassy Creek exits from the northeast side of Horseshoe Lake; flows to the north; and terminates in Snag Lake. The stream drops about 490 feet along the course of its three mile flow.
