THE SITE IS LOCATED IN THE SOUTH CANYON AREA OF LAKE MEREDITH NATIONAL RECREATION AREA. SOUTH CANYON IS AT THE NORTHEAST END OF LAKE MEREDITH UPSTREAM FROM SANFORD YAKE DAM. DATA HAVE BEEN COLLECTED BY THE CANADIAN RIVER MUNICIPAL WATER AUTHORITY (CRMWA) FROM 1967 TO THE PRESENT TO MONITOR WATER QUALITY FOR THE CANADIAN RIVER PROJECT. ASHBY LEWIS OF THE CANADIAN RIVER MUNICIPAL WATER AUTHORITY IS THE PRINCIPAL ANALYST OF THE WATER QUALITY DATA. ADDITIONAL DATA FOR THIS STATION COME FROM THE TEXAS NATURAL RESOURCE CONSERVATION COMMISSION STATION (21TXWQB 10052) IN STORET WHICH ALSO CONTAINED CRMWA DATA FOR THIS LOCATION.
