MonitoringLocationDescriptionText THE STATION IS LOCATED ON THE MT. KATMAI (B5) AK 1:63360 SCALE SERIES TOPOGRAPHIC QUADRANGLE AND IS INSIDE THE KATMAI NATIONAL PARK AND PRESERVE BOUNDARIES (KATM). THE SITE IS LOCATED AT WINDY CREEK AT FORD AT THE VALLEY OF TEN THOUSAND SMOKES (VTTS). A WATER QUALITY SAMPLE WAS COLLECTED AT THIS SITE BY TERRY KEITH (US GEOLOGICAL SURVEY) ON 20 JULY 1986 AS PART OF A GEOCHEMICAL STUDY OF THE VTTS. RESULTS WERE PUBLISHED IN THE REPORT "GEOCHEMISTRY OF WATERS IN THE VALLEY OF TEN THOUSAND SMOKES REGION; ALASKA" BY TERRY KEITH ET AL.
