THE SITE WAS ON A TRIBUTARY TO THE SOUTH FORK LITTLE CONEMAUGH RIVER AND OUTSIDE THE JOHNSTOWN FLOOD NATIONAL MEMORIAL. THE DATA WERE COLLECTED FROM A TRIBUTARY IN ST. MICHAEL NEAR THE FIRE HALL. THIS UNNAMED TRIBUTARY DRAINS AN ABANDONED UNDERGROUND MINE. THE STREAM WAS SAMPLED FOR METALS; NITRATE AND PHOSPHATE SPECIES; AND ACIDITY/ALKALINITY. THE LOCATION WAS SAMPLED FOR PRELIMINARY DATA TO A STUDY THAT SUBSEQUENTLY WAS NOT WRITTEN. THE DATA IS ON FILE AT PARK HEADQUARTERS.
