THE SAMPLE WAS COLLECTED FROM DRIPS NEAR THE BEGINNING OF THE SPELUNKING ROUTE IN JEWEL CAVE NATIONAL MONUMENT (JECA). SAMPLING WAS DONE BY JEWEL CAVE NATIONAL MONUMENT PERSONNEL AFTER PREVIOUS BACKGROUND SAMPLING IN 1991 SHOWED HIGH LEVELS OF LEAD IN THE WATERS. ALL LEAD MONITORING SINCE 1991 HAS PROVEN THAT HIGH LEVELS OF LEAD ARE NOT PRESENT.
