MonitoringLocationDescriptionText The monitoring station is located on the Buttston ALTallapoosa County 7.5 minutes series (topographic) quadrangle. The site is on an unnamed tributary to the Tallapoosa River and is inside the Horseshoe Bend National Military Park. The data were collected as part of a study on mussels; snails; and crayfish. The dates of the sampling are accurate for the month and the year; the day is estimated for midmonth. The data were collected using a YSI SalinityConductivityTemperature meter Model 33 and the LaMotte Water Testing Kits. The data were taken from: Johnson; J.A. "The mussel; snail; and crayfish species of the Tallapoosa River drainage with an assessment of their distribution in relation to chemical and physical habitat characteristics."
